Carla-rae Prober
Visionary & Self Expression
Who is Carla-rae Prober?
Stylist. Interior Designer. Self Confidence Mentor
Carla-rae has never taken the conventional path and every detour has made her exactly who she is.
Her career began with a foundation in fashion merchandising, a training ground that sharpened her eye for beauty, quality, and the quiet power of the right thing in the right place. That instinct carried her into retail buying, where she curated product across 60 stores throughout Canada learning early that what women choose to surround themselves with is never frivolous. It is personal. It is intentional. It matters.
Then came a new chapter: a move to the United States, a marriage, and a pivot that would have stopped most people cold. Carla-rae taught herself interior design entirely on her own and built a thriving business she ran for 33 years. The work was the same, really: creating spaces where people feel safe, at ease, and fully themselves.
Transforming Lives through Fashion and Design
A Dream since she was 16 years old.
At that age, she fell in love with the idea of designing a cashmere sweater collection in Italy — the kind of dream that stays tucked away for decades, quiet but never quite gone. She finally brought it to life, collaborating with Italian artisans on a collection that was as much about legacy as it was about craft.
That collection became a turning point. Having built businesses, crossed borders, reinvented herself more than once, and finally honored a dream she’d carried for fifty years, Carla-rae saw something clearly: the season she is in now is her most important one. She has pledged this chapter to women.
As a Co-founder of The WelcomeHaus a business uniting three generations of women through curated events, mentorship and education by creating spaces where women feel safe, seen, and supported. She carries the wisdom of Ruth’s loyalty, Deborah’s courage, and Miriam’s joy into every gathering, every conversation, every woman she walks alongside. She is fierce. She comes by it honestly. And she is just getting started.
